On September 27, 2013, the BC Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training hosted the Northwest Regional Economic Collaborative Forum in Terrace.
The forum brought together leaders from the communities of Kitimat, Terrace, and Prince Rupert as well as the First Nations communities of Nisga'a, Kitselas, Kitsumkalum, Haisla, Metlakatla and Lax-Kw'alaams. Participants identified priority areas for regional collaboration and promotion of economic diversification across the region.
The goal of the forum was to identify key regional projects on the basis of their potential to support, grow and maintain collaborative relationships between communities.
SNCIRE provided administrative support for the forum, including creating and managing the invitations and handouts.
